Terrific Two’s
I saw that MamaBlogga’s October writing project is ”Best things about this age” and thought that it would be fun. Since I have 3 ages to choose from I thought that I’d go with 2 since you don’t usually hear a lot of positive things about 2 year olds. My middle daughter is 2 1/2 and it really can be a fun age. Yesterday she had her baby dolls lined up in a row and she was sitting in her rocking chair “reading” them a book. I love how excited she gets when she uses the big girl potty. I love it when she tells me that “Only big girls” can do such and such. Don’t get me wrong - 2 can be a hard age, but overall she’s just really come into her own these past 6 months. She’s becoming so independent- getting dressed by herself, feeding herself (although she’s been doing this for a while now), she loves to sing the ABC song. She’s just growing up so fast and turning into a little girl. She’ll loves to sit with me and cuddle and I have to do a better job of making time for that because I know that in a few short years she’ll be off doing her own thing.

That is such a great idea! Our #5 is 2 2/3 (lol) and I love just how much of her personality is coming out. Her observations about the everyday world can be eyeopening, heartening, hilarious and/ or something we just don’t take a moment to notice.
