Let me Count the Reasons
This month’s Group Writing Project over at MamaBlogga is “Why I’m Grateful for my Children.” This is such a great topic for November and I could go on and on because I have great kids. Thing thing that I’m most grateful for is them helping me see the world through their eyes. Everything is new to them- everything is special. They are so curious and they see the world around them with a sense of wonder. Baby #1 (who’s 4 1/2) is really starting to ask some hard questions- things that I’ve taken for granted and some things I just don’t know how to answer.
I’m grateful for them because they make me laugh every day. It doesn’t matter how bad our day is going- at some point in the day they will make me laugh. I’m grateful that they accept me for who I am. The good and the bad. They’ll always forgive me when I have a bad day. They’re always quick with a hug and a smile.
I’m so grateful that they have never had a major temper tantrum at the store. Considering their ages (4 1/2, 2 1/2 and 13 months) this is saying a lot. I’m grateful that most of the time they mind me and obey.
Most of all I’m just grateful that they’re mine. I’m grateful that God saw fit to give me the privilege of raising these wonderful kids. I pray that I never take it for granted.

What beautiful sentiments! If there were a “right” answer for this GWP, it would be in your conclusion!
Thanks for participating.
what a great post. it’s true — we are grateful for things big and small about them but your last line is the ultimate truth of it all…
Laughter does mean a lot. And I envy your tantrum-free shopping. I can’t say I have ever experienced that.
Lovely post.
Children are amazing and I think, in some ways they help to keep you young.
It sounds like you have a beautiful family. And yes, we are so fortunate to have the companionship and love of our little ones.
