I had to laugh because my husband hung up some pictures for me yesterday and the same thing happened. It had to be level (with included the lazer level) and everything else you listed including the drywall anchors. Plus he made sure everything was evenly spaced on the wall and in between the pictures. An hour later, they look beautiful! :) I love it also!
